The WA Flying Disc Association (WAFDA) receives funds from the Department of Sport and Recreation to use for the development of flying disc sports in WA,the other main source of income for the Association is derived from it's leagues and tournaments.
The WAFDA Committee identifies ways in which these funds can be spent by setting annual and long term goals.
The Operational Plan outlines yearly tasks and development goals and the Strategic Plan is 3 year plan shaping the future direction of the Association.
In addition to funding development projects there are limited funds are allocated each year in the form of financial assistance to either WA Representative teams, Clubs or individuals in key focus areas such as High Performance, Junior development or Coach education to assist the growth of the Association and flying disc sports and foster personnel development.

This document is to be used as a guide by the WAFDA Executive Committee when considering providing assistance to Individuals.
High performance assistance for Individuals should be restricted only to players competing in the following Australian events:
All members should be aware that the WAFDA has only a limited budget for representative team assistance and funding will be granted only in specific circumstances.
The WAFDA reserves the right to refuse any application should the team be unable to reasonably justify the need for the funding.
An Individual will be recognised by the WAFDA under the following conditions:
Assistance can be considered to be of the following:
The procedure for considering assistance to a high performance individual may be instigated by the individual, captain, coach or AFDA representative, or the WAFDA Executive.
The following criteria should be assessed when considering any application:
Direct financial assistance (per individual) shall be limited to the following maximums per financial year.
The maximum overall total of $1,200 is allocated for all individual requests per financial year.
Individual loans for Australian and International (World) events may only be applied for should no other WA Team/Club be competing.
Loans shall be limited to a maximum of $1500 for any Individual per financial year.
The application will be reviewed by the WAFDA Executive Committee and a decision will be made within two (2) weeks from receipt of application or at the next WAFDA Committee meeting (whichever occurs first).
Individuals that enter into a Loan agreement and fail to repay their loan, without reasonable explanation, shall be ineligible to participate in further WAFDA events until the account is settled.
The team may appeal against a ruling by the WAFDA Executive Committee.
Using the internet and electronic communication is essential for communicating with members. The WA Flying Disc Association is committed to communication being appropriate and related to Association business.
When using technology we will ensure that members’ privacy is protected, clear boundaries are maintained and bullying and harassment does not occur.
All members are expected to use the internet and electronic communication appropriately, guided by the premise “think about what you want to say before you write it”. Email and social media postings are a written record of your thoughts on a matter and can be used against you later in disciplinary or legal proceedings.
Cyber-bullying (E.g. bullying that is carried out through an internet service such as email, a chat room, discussion group, instant messaging or web pages) under certain circumstances is a criminal offence that can be reported by victims to the police. The Association can also initiate separate action where there has been a breach of our member protection policy or code of conduct.
Members publishing false or misleading comments about another person in the public domain (E.g. Facebook or Websites) may be liable for defamation.

Flying Disc Sports in Australia has a "pay for what you play" system in place, this means all your league and tournament fees collected by organisers contain an Event-Based Fee known as an EBF to cover insurance components for all events.

The certificate of currency is required to book fields with your local council. A list of field providers is provided to the AFDA each year. The certificate of currency and list of field providers can be found here: http://afda.com/certificate-of-currency .

The key goal of brand guidelines is to ensure that all parties use the WAFDA and WA Ultimate brand elements consistently. Brand guidelines provide information and tools and set the standards for using brand names, logos, typefaces and other design elements in advertisements, brochures, newsletters, packaging and online communications.
Brand standards are a set of rules and guidelines that protect the look and feel of your organization. It provides a standardised approach to creative work in order to uphold the integrity of the brand. Brand standards are far more important than the logo itself.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a central part of an incorporated association's governance structure, as it holds an association accountable to its members.
It is the only association meeting specifically provided for in Associations Incorporation Act 1987 (the Act). Incorporated associations must hold an AGM once in every calendar year, within 4 months after the end of the association's financial year.
