
Coaching Courses
NCAS Level 1 Coaching Course
Working with the Australian Sports Commission, the Australian Flying Disc Association has developed a nationally accredited coaching course.
This coaching accreditation is recognised by schools, universities and the government nationwide.
The Level One coaching course will take a full day to complete and includes practical and theory components.
No previous experience as a player is required to take part in this course, nor is any prior knowledge of coaching.
The course is accredited under the Australian Sports Commission’s National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and only accredited AFDA approved course presenters can deliver the course.
WA Ultimate run these courses each year.
The practical component of the course takes one day to complete and the theory components can be done at your own pace prior to the practical course.

Schools Coaching Program
The Schools Coaching Program (SCP) is a new initiative run by WA Ultimate to teach and upskill new coaches. The accreditation will prepare coaches to implement Ultimate lessons to student players in a primary and high school environment.
Are you looking for a little bit of extra cash? Or maybe you're interested in coaching Ultimate? Maybe you'd like to be the reason a student started playing Ultimate? Or are your a teacher who wants to learn how to teach Ultimate? Whatever the reason, WA Ultimate often have regular paid work opportunities, delivering in-school sessions.
Completition of this course will allow you to be casually employed by WA Ultimate to conduct coaching sessions at various primary and high schools throughout Perth.
