Can’t stand the wait until Nationals in ’09? Well, wait no longer. WAFDA brings you Perth Premier League. What: Perth Premier League, offering Men's and Women's Ultimate in Perth Perth Premier League is a new WAFDA event that will be hosted by Sublime Ultimate Club. In order for WA teams to be more competitive interstate and internationally, we must be more competitive locally. To this end, the PPL will be structured as outlined below. Eligibility (MEN) - Not all WAFDA members will be elligible to compete in PPL. Men who have played at Australian Nationals level or equivalent are automatically elligible and are invited to register. Players who do not have experience at this level but demonstrate appropriate enthusiasm, athleticism, ability, committment and/or other experience will be elligible at the discretion of the PPL selection team. Players who are subject to selection must have registered by 3 October. All players subject to selection will be notified as to their eligibility by the PPL selection team prior to the player draft on 7 October. It is expected that there will be enough players to form 3 men's teams. Eligibility (WOMEN) - All women WAFDA members will be eligible to compete in PPL. The same registration dates apply for women as outlined above for the men. Team Formation - Each team will be formed around a core group (2-4 players). These core groups will be chosen to best allocate skill, experience and leadership ability among the teams. Core groups will be issued a list of all registered players 3 days before the player draft. The player draft will be on Tuesday 7 October, one week prior to the commencement of play. All registered players are strongly encouraged to attend the player draft. Team shirts will be issued on this night. In order to facilitate the player draft, register by 3 October. For EFT payment details see the Contact Us page. To identify your registration payment in the WAFDA banking system, label your pament with the initials PPL followed by your AFDA number.
