While the Div II nationals took place in Australia across the ditch NZ held their peak championships on the same weekend. Held in Auckland, the New Zealand Ultimate Championships and the Australian U23 Open Team took part in this year's event.

Featuring seven Perth boys in the 2015 line up, "The Goannas" took on NZ's top men's team over the 2 day event. It was the first hit out as a team and the boys stepped up and fought hard as a team over the weekend. Going to down to "Dogma" in the semi final the boys bounced back to defeat Wildcats Meta in the bronze medal play off. Congratulations Goannas on a top effort.
