2022 High School Championships wrap up
The 9th Annual High School Ultimate Championships were completed in Term 4, 2022.
It was a great day down at Yokine Reserve awash with many schools in their colours and some amazing skills on display.
Matches were fast and furious with teams playing in 6 or more games across the day and trying their hand at the Longest Throw Competition.
As in previous years, once again, the Spirit of the Game shown on the day was second to none.
This year an All Star Team was announced with the selectors having a tough time picking out the best players on the day. Not only were the skills outstanding but the athleticism and agility of a number of young athletes was a pleasure to see.
The date for the 2023 Championships (Year 7-10) has been set for Friday November the 17th, 2023.

Xmas in July Hat Tournament 2024
Get ready for a holly jolly good time at our Xmas in July hat tournament! This is a mixed-gender competition where teams will be randomly drawn, so it's the perfect chance to meet new people and play alongside a variety of skill levels.
This hat tournament also draws players from skill level groups, aiming to distribute skilled and new players evenly between teams, hopefully making for more close games and the chance to play with different people. Hat tournaments are great for meeting new people and experiencing the tournament format in a more relaxed vibe.

Witch's Hat 2024
Witch's Hat is a fun-filled tournament that is all about meeting and playing with new people and the spirit of Ultimate tied to a Halloween theme. Mixed-gender teams are pulled out of a hat and have a mix of players of all experience levels!
When: Sunday 3rd November 2024
Time: 9am - 5pm
Where: Des Penman Reserve, Nollamara
Cost: $25 for Local Adults ($20 for Regional or U18 Players)

Format is a Crown Hat. Teams are randomised every match and the event winners are the Male and Female matchup with the most wins.

2025 WAFDA AGM
This year, the annual general meeting of WAFDA will be held at the Murdoch University Sports Oval clubroom at 12:30pm on Saturday August 30th.
This will coincide with the first day of the Phoenix Has Risen Ultimate tournament.
The agenda will include normal reports from the executive of the association, elections to fill roles as needed and agenda items from members.
This year, there will be normal elections for the following positions:
- President
- Secretary
- General Executive (Disc Golf)

Results of 2025 AGM
During lunch on Saturday at Phoenix, WAFDA also held its AGM for 2025. Reports were given from members of the Executive Committee and Glenn Omodei, WAFDA’s Development Officer.
Three positions were vacant coming into the meeting, with two being filled by prior nomination and uncontested election:
