The best way to get involved in Ultimate is to get in touch with your nearest club. Most clubs operate across different levels of the game, from beginners to advanced competitive play. This page offers you a little more information about the clubs in WA, who they are and how to get in contact with them.

New to Ultimate? Clubs are full of experienced coaches and players are always on hand at club sessions to help improve your technique and explain the concepts of the game. Find a location that suits you then contact a club to get involved today!

Primal Ultimate Club

 

Location: Yokine, WA 6060

Club Type: SOCIAL: open to women, men and youth

Peak Competition/s: Yokine Social League (host), 

 

About the Club: Previously known as PRIMAL Women’s Ultimate Club (2007) we have grown from a social group to a fully Incorporated Club receiving funding and hosting several events. In September 2009 PRIMAL changed its name to PRIMAL Ultimate Club to reflect the growth and new direction of the Club, being inclusive of youth, males and females. PRIMAL has competed in past Australian Ultimate Championships as well as WA mixed and separate gender State Titles. Primal also hosts an annual summer league – Yokine Ultimate League, based at Yokine Reserve in the City of Stirling.
The league started in 2009 and has made it possible for the local community to learn about and join in games of Ultimate. The league runs all summer and it's a great way to socialise while getting some physical activity into your day.

Bronze Bullseye Ultimate Club

Location: Dalkeith WA 6009

Club Type: Men's, Women's, and Mixed Club

Competition/s: Australian Ultimate Championships Divison One and Division Two, Western Regional Ultimate Championships, Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships

About the Club: Founded in 2015, Bullseye is one of WA's premier Ultimate clubs. Starting with AUC in Perth 2015, Bullseye has built their club to the point where they offer Men's, Women's and Mixed campaigns, along with youth development and other programs. Bullseye has a strong focus on club culture and contribution to the WA Ultimate community whilst striving for competitive excellence.

KAOS Ultimate Club

Location: Vary between Nedlands,  City Beach and Lake Monger.

Club Type: Women’s club

Peak Competition/s: Australian Ultimate Championships Division one and two, Western Regional Ultimate Championships, Various Perth Tournaments.

About the Club: Kaos Ultimate is Western Australia’s longest-running women's only ultimate club. Our colourful history spans from 2008 until the present and includes accolades of silver and bronze Australian National Championship medals, international tournaments, national representative players and coaches, and also the country’s best tea parties! We are committed to providing development and tournament opportunities to female players in Western Australia at both an elite and social level.

Sublime Ultimate Club

About the Club: Founded in 2004, Sublime Ultimate Club is the premier WA Men's Ultimate Club, Sublime Ultimate club represent WA at the Division One and Division Two Australian Ultimate Championships (AUC) held in April annually. They have competed at every AUC since 2004. Its mission is, To provide a supportive platform for growth, spirit and competition while continuing to invest in the ultimate community.

University Clubs

 

UWA Ultimate Club

Location: University of Western Australia - Crawley Campus

Club Type: University club - Men's, Women's and Mixed options available.

Competition/s: Australian University Games, 1 International Tournament per year, Various Perth Tournaments, UWA Social League (host)

About the Club: As WA's longest running university-based Ultimate Club, UWA has seen continued growth and expansion since its establishment. Whilst the club is focused predominantly on current UWA students, our social league and some representative teams are open to past alumni and the general community.

 

Social League

UWA runs a social mixed-gender league on Monday nights open to the whole community. This is held at UWA and runs in two seasons reflecting the UWA Semester (Approx. March - June and August - November).

 

Australian University Games Teams (AUGs) - Open & Women's

UWA Ultimate has sent representative teams to every Australian University Games since 2006. AUGs is a nationwide competition between universities therefore only enrolled students may participate. Tryouts and training for these teams begin in late May / early June in the lead up to the competition in September.

 

Development Team

A development team is also selected at the same time as the AUGs teams. This team typically trains from June through to November before attending an international competition in Asia (past locations include Singapore, Brunei & Malaysia).

Curtin Ultimate Club

 

Location: Curtin University - Bentley Campus

Club Type: University club - Men's, Women's and Mixed options available.

Competition/s: Australian University Games, Various Perth Tournaments, Curtin Social Sports League.

About the Club: As one of WA's university-based Ultimate Clubs, Curtin Ultimate has continued to expand since its establishment. Whilst the club is focused predominantly on current Curtin students, our social league and some representative teams are open to past alumni and the general community.

Social League

Curtin runs a social mixed-gender league open to the whole community, run through Curtin Social Sports.

Australian University Games Teams (AUGs) - Open & Women's

About the Club: Another university-based Ultimate Club, Murdoch Ultimate Club has been playing on campus since 1997 (with the odd interruption). Whilst the club is run by Murdoch students, staff and alumni, it is open to anyone from the community to join.

Regional

Bunbury Ultimate Club

Location: Hay Park, Bunbury WA

Club Type: Mixed Club

Peak Competition/s: Phoenix Has Risen, Moove'n the Groove Tournament (Hosts)

About the Club: Bunbury is a mixed club that welcomes players of all skill levels. Bunbury host a 'Winter Mini League' which is open to the whole community. Bunbury Ultimate attend the Phoenix has Risen (the WA Mixed State Championships) every year. Broome also hosts an annual tournament, Moove'n the Groove.
