WA elite players have reached a milestone this year and WAFDA are pleased to congratulate the SUBLIME Men's team on their inclusion at the National Ultimate Frisbee League (NUFL). NUFL is aimed at the top 100 players in Australia and SUBLIME's acceptance into the NUFL ranks is indicative of their status in the Aus-Ultimate landscape. SUBLIME will bring their mix of experience and raw talent that gave them great success at Nationals 2007 to NUFL and are hoping to bring some silverware back to WA. This is the first time a full team will represent WA at NUFL, previously WA has fielded two free agents. WA Ultimate will have another first at NUFL 2007 with Debbie Ng, Vivianne Bartlett and Anna Haynes selected as free agents to join an interstate Women's NUFL team. Only 18 women across the country who were not part of a pre-selected team were chosen as free agents. All NUFL players are also invited to the National Training Camp where players share knowledge learnt from past Worlds campaigns, and a high level training and scrimmage environment is provided. The Camp also allows players trying out for the 2008 World Ultimate Championships to meet. Good luck at NUFL and to the 8 WA players who are up for Worlds selection! |
