The WAFDA is pleased to announce that WordArt will host this year's WA State Mixed Ultimate Championships aka Phoenix Has Risen. This event is the official seeding event for all WA teams wishing to qualify for the Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships.
Grab your team mates, your ultimate gear and get ready for the hugely anticipated WA State Championship tournament, Phoenix Has Risen 2012!! This year it is hosted by the colourful and effervescent WordArt crew. With the Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships just around the corner and in our own backyard, you can expect this year’s Phoenix Has Risen to be thrilling as teams battle to be top seeded in WA and claim glory as WA’s Mixed Ultimate Champions!! Please note that this is strictly a NO ALCOHOL event. The schedule will be released in the week prior to the tournament. When: September 1st and 2nd 2012 (Saturday & Sunday) Time: 9.00am - 5.00pm both days Venue: John XXIII College (John XXIII Avenue, Mt Claremont) Format: Mixed 4:3 gender split Includes: AFDA/WAFDA EBF, field hire, lunch for 2 days, fruit, sunscreen, player gift and prizes. Registration Team registrations close on Sunday 26th August, however players can register until the tournament. Note the late fees detailed below. Payment Price: $60.00; Juniors (under 18) $30.00; One day player - $40 Team payments are due by Tuesday 28th August. Payments made after 28th August will result in a $20.00 per player late fee.
