WAFDA moving to club system - 2006/12/06 12:07 Hi,

There was a couple of posts today on the wa-ultimate mailing list regarding WAFDA moving to a more club-based environment.

The idea is that rather than having WAFDA be a single large club, WAFDA would instead encourage more clubs which would be affiliated with WAFDA. This is the same model that is used in other states.

The biggest upshot is in representation at Nationals - for example instead of choosing all the best players to be the 'WA A' team, all WA clubs would be entitled to try to qualify to send their team (or teams) to Nationals.

This change in structure will require a number of other changes thoughout many aspects of the Perth Ultimate community. Some of these will be easier than others.

What do you think? Is this a good idea? A bad idea? What will it mean for Ultimate in WA? Post below, reply, discuss, bring up points, read others, re-evaluate your own position.
