I just wanted to make a comment about the current PUL & SUL games beign played. FOr a while now I felt thigns were sick and dying within ultimate. Everywhere I looked I could see signs of taint and decay. Spirit seemed to be drying up and people had begun to forget what Ultimate is about. THe pleasure I once felt in playing ultimate evaporated and I was seriously ready to move on and play another sport but....
THe current season, the players and organisation has renewed my interest. I see players behaving with a sense of spirit and goodwill towards others. People are competitive but in a good way. Knocks and tumbles occur but instead of gloating, players help each other up.
Teams are fun, and a sense of lightness is on the field. Now I enjoy.
Note, Fear is not winning but we are enjoying the games and the players we play against.
Now this is my own opinion and you can challenge it as much as you want, but expect a meh from me.
