PUL - One game per night instead of two - 2006/12/28 15:54 Just putting it out there. But since most tournaments consist of 90 min games why do we have a league competition where games last only 40 mins not counting minutes normally lost in late starts and transition after points this make for a very quick game indeed.

Surely a longer game say 60/70 mins or first to 15 to employ a mercy rule would be more beneficial.

Ok so some scores may blow out occasionly, but a single game would probably encourage teams to get to the fields a little earlier and ensure it would be a shorter time commitment for people over the entire night.

Re:PUL - One game per night instead of two - 2007/05/02 16:36 I absolutely agree with having only one game a night for a number of reasons.
1. When you know you have only one game the effort you put in to be more competetive is far greater. This would make for more intense fast skillful games.

2.The lag time between games, sometimes more than 10minutes, especially over the winter league, gives the body time to cool down. To start playing again after this time leads to a higher number of injuries.

3. I would much rather commit an hour to one game of solid ulti than two games of mediocre ulti.

see you all soon

Re:PUL - One game per night instead of two - 2007/05/09 22:05 Yeah one game!
So much easier to be there on time now.
Better for some students as well, those who have late class on Wednesday anyway.
