Re:Tiered PUL - 2008/03/20 18:12 Well thats something that could be done and Yellow Ninjas have made the progression up and it is something that other teams are considering. Currently there is a bit of overlap especially with women between SUL and PUL Teams which will limit the ability to do this.

Re:Tiered PUL - 2008/04/14 21:02 I strongly support a tiered system that melds the current PUL and SUL. SUL was designed orignially as a place for new players to enter the sport and not feel overwhelmed by the experience and skill of existing players. Now that SUL has been going for 6 leagues there are many players who are probably ready to compete at a PUL level but may not have the opportunity to find a PUL team. I would propose that PUL be strictly limited to 6 or 8 teams. The top 4 teams from the previous league are automatically assigned places in PUL (which just becomes a Teir 1 league) the bottom 2-4 teams have to play off against the top 2-4 teams from the previous SUL (which becomes simply a Tier 2 league). Out of this series of games (possibly 4 shorter games over 2 weeks?) the final PUL/Tier 1 teams are selected. The only way this will work, though, is if there are more teams wanting to play Tier 1 than there are Teir 1 league slots available. League size must be limited.
