pul & sul - 2007/10/11 12:22 Perhaps in the whole sul & pul times scenario
a possible solution is to introduce a halfway league run at the same time as sul . Where players who just play pul can have a game before the pul and players from sul who feel they might want to take a step up can try a higher level without going into the pul straight away.
This would also allow players who would like to coach sul to continue doing this without sacrificing pul. As sul has 8 teams now we could easily cut that to either 4 or 6 and combine the more advanced players from sul with the pul players who would like to play 2 games on Wednesday evening

If this halfway league was to happen I think it should be a relaxed hat league opposed to a clubs based thing to encourage pul players meeting sul players.

Re:pul & sul - 2007/10/11 13:16 To set this up officially would incur more costs to players, there is also the need for more manpower to run this structure.
I guess really it would ideal to get the 2 tier structure working before jumping to a third tier.

We ran a hat league earlier this year unfortunately it was not as well supported by pul players as we hoped.

Players ask for more mixing of divisions but if they are supported, how can they continue?

There is absolutely nothing at all to stop players having a early pick game in the meantime.
