2017 U22 State Staff Announced

WA Ultimate are pleased to announce the appointment of the Under-22 Western Australian teams staff, who will manage and coach the State teams attending the 2017 Australian Under-22 Ultimate Championships.

This competition with be a state representative structure for players 22 years of age and younger.
Where: Sydney, New South Wales
When: November 24th, 25th & 26th 2017

State Team Managers: Paige Oh, Curtis Novacsek.
The State Team Managers will be responsible for managing both Men’s, Mixed and Women’s teams in preparation for the 2017 U22 State championships.

ATHLETES

Eligibility
To be eligible to play you must be born AFTER 1 January 1995.
Age Restrictions: The WA teams will be accepting players 15 years and older. (Born before 31 December 2002)

A selection event will be held for all interested athletes

When: Sunday 3rd September 2017. 9:00am - 1:00pm
Where: Charles Court Reserve, Nedlands WA 6009.
What: Men's, Mixed and Women's team try outs.

This event is estimated to cost $900-$1000, which includes; Tournament fees, flights, accommodation, uniforms, food, etc.
WA Ultimate will endeavour to reduce the costs of this campaign as much as possible, to encourage more participation.

The teams that participate at the Under-22 Nationals will be representative teams; each team will represent a state or territory of Australia. For new updates about the 2017 Australian Under-22 Ultimate Championships, check out the WA Ultimate Facebook page here.

The inaugural Australian Ultimate U22 Championships 2016 in Geelong, saw 17 teams competing from six states and over 250 players across the three divisions. Western Australia's Mixed team brought home the Silver medal, Men's team the Bronze and the Women's team finishing in 4th place.

This tournament is a fantastic opportunity for high school, university and other young players to play Ultimate at the state level. From selection events to the tournament itself, players can be a part of a great community event, have the chance to represent their state and be exposed to a pathway opportunity into national teams.
