WAFDA 2020 AGM Notice
All WAFDA members are invited to attend the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM). This year’s AGM will be held in conjunction with the Phoenix Has Risen, State Mixed Ultimate Championships.
The WAFDA Constitution was approved by resolution by the membership as per the Special General Meeting held on June 15, 2020, and changes were accepted by the ASSOCIATIONS BRANCH INDUSTRY REGULATION AND CONSUMER PROTECTION (Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety) on 3 September 2020.
As per section 11.5 of the Constitution, the Executive Committee shall give at least fourteen (14) days notice of the date of the Annual General Meeting, to members.

Time: 5:00pm
Where: UWA Sports Park (Phoenix Has Risen Venue)
What: Annual General Meeting Reporting and Election of the incoming Board of Management.
The affairs of the Association shall be managed by the Executive Committee, consisting of no less than three (3) members and not greater than five (5) members, including a President.
The structure proposed under the new constitution are President, Secretary, Treasurer and two (2) General Executive Committee members. Sub-Committees are appointed/reviewed by the Executive as required.

Each Executive Committee member shall have a two (2) year term of office commencing at their appointment at an Annual General Meeting.

Confirmation of Minutes of previous Annual General Meeting

The reports of the Executive Committee;

Consideration of the accounts of the Association prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Act;

The election of the incoming Executive Committee; and
-
Any other business requiring consideration by the Association in a general meeting.
Eligibility for nominating
A person may be an Executive Committee member if the person is:
8.6.1. An individual who has reached 18 years of age; and
8.6.2. Is an Ordinary or Non-Playing member.
Nominations for positions on the Executive Committee must be received in writing (including electronic mail) five (5) days in advance of the Annual General Meeting and any resolutions must also be received in writing (including electronic mail) five (5) days in advance of the Annual General Meeting.
A list of nominated candidates for each position will be published on the WA Ultimate website shortly after the closing time for nominations.
Submission of nominations, resolutions and additional agenda items must be received by 5:00 pm (WST) on Monday the 28th September 2020 in order to be considered for inclusion in the agenda.
